- Chukwuka Emmanuel Williams is wanted across Canada for allegedly posing as a military member needing financial help. Between June 2020 and September 2021, he is accused of defrauding 11 victims of $275,000 by fabricating stories about needing money to return from deployment.
- Nigerian authorities arrested 792 individuals involved in a romance scam targeting Europeans and Americans. The suspects used social media to impersonate foreign women and solicit money for fake cryptocurrency investments.
