Are There Fake Accounts On OkCupid?

Catfishers and scammers know that using universally appealing photographs is the easiest lure potential victims. If you don’t think this person would approach you at a nightclub, beware if they’re doing it online.
Tip #4: Outside Links
Sure, there may be times when a love interest will link you to their social media accounts in the hopes that you add or follow one another, to further your connection. However, if someone you’re communicating with on OkCupid sends you a link to navigate to ANY paid site – mainly gaming, financial, etc., they are almost a guaranteed bot or paid spammer. However, many profiles (especially those of women) with photos and content strictly geared towards sex, are scams that will link you to paid sex (prostitutes), porn sites, and premium girls. While it is possible that a devastatingly attractive woman wants to meet persons of all body types and statuses, it is very, very unlikely to be a real person.

A potential date who’s interested will reply to messages and make themselves available for dates. A chatbot ‘acts’ like someone who is interested, but isn’t. You can put a stop to robotic trickery by being aware of how bots work. First, they respond fast, every time.
They always seem to reply immediately, no matter what time you write to them. Next, they don’t speak naturally. Also, they may not sound foreign in their message, or repeat the same phrase or question, talking directly. If they ‘casually’ mention paid goods, sites, or services, know you are speaking to a bot!
