Depending on how backlogged we are, it can take up to 1 week to get the information removed. You will need to verify your email address and submit all URLs with your information. Please note that only pages that contain your information will be removed. You will need to go into each individual URL and submit the URL for removal. Also, note that removing a URL from our site doesn't remove your information through public record or any other public websites. This is where the information is collected from. To control what's available online, you will need to go into each public site that you have profiles on and make sure and adjust your privacy settings.

To change your password, sign in to your account and go to your dashboard. On the left side of your screen, click on "Manage Account." Then, click on the "Contact and Security" tab and scroll down to where it says "Change Password." First, enter your old password followed by the new password you wish to use. Once you are done with this, your password should be changed immediately.

A SocialCatfish.com membership allows you to log onto our site with your username and password, and allows you to look up information such as names, phone numbers, email addresses, and usernames. There are a few plans that you can choose. Either a reverse search plan and/or an image search plan. These plans are sold a few different ways. Either by token use or unlimited searches. The conversion for tokens is 1 token = 1 matched result. Meaning, if we don't have a match, you don't use a token. The unlimited plans are for a period of time. The trial includes 5 days and the monthly membership that renews after the trial is billed 30+ days at a time.

When on our page you will enter what information you have and click “search”. From there a payment page will pop up. That is where you will enter your personal information and select the plan you are interested in.

Yes! You can switch membership plans if you have either Unlimited Social Search or Unlimited Image Search.

To switch memberships plans, follow the steps below:

• Scroll down to the 'Account Plan Details' section or click on the "Plan Details" in the navigation menu.
• Click the grey 'Cancel' button to the right of the plan you want to cancel.
• You will then be taken to the Account Options page where you can select 'Switch.'

There are several reasons why you may not be able to conduct a search after logging into your account:

• You may not have purchased the plan to conduct that particular search. Social Catfish users enjoy a variety of search options. The type of search a user can and cannot do depends on the plan that he or she has. If a user only has Image Search, for example, he or she will not be able to conduct reverse searches for names, emails, addresses, phone numbers, or usernames.
• Some searches are sometimes offered as an additional upgrade and can be unlocked after purchasing a subscription to such a plan.
• Your account may be deactivated due to a billing issue.
• Contact customer support if you need help at any time.

You can report a catfish or scammer through the FTC by filing online at https://reportfraud.ftc.gov/#/. This report goes back to the FBI who will find more information about the person who has been catfishing you.

You can video chat them to make sure that who you’re talking to is a real person, but watch out for any lag in their video since scammers can also fake video chats. You could also meet them in person to verify if they are real. If they don’t want to do either of these, you can verify their information with Social Catfish with our reverse search platform. If no information comes up after this, then they most likely are a catfish.

If you are talking to someone online, pay attention to whether or not they want to meet you in person or video chat with you. If they don’t want to or if their video chat is lagging, this could mean they are a scammer. If they are asking for money online for any reason, this is also a red flag that they are a scammer. Also, pay attention to if they become overly flirty too fast and if they are using photos from someone in the military or in construction work. You can report any scam to the FTC or the BBB. You can also call your local authorities or report it to your local bank to see if there’s any chance of getting your money back.

You can find and verify someone’s information using a name, email address, phone number, or social media username if you have a social search membership. If you have an image search membership, you can perform an image search using the image of someone you want to look up.

By performing a search, you could potentially unveil any social media or dating account someone has, see if they have any criminal records, verify that a business is real, and figure out if someone is licensed. You can also figure out if the person you are talking to is real and if they have any additional contact information.

With our reverse image search plan, all images that you have searched are saved onto your account.

If you upload an image onto the reverse image search platform, you can only delete the image you upload. However, the image search history will still be saved onto your account as well as any social search you have performed.

By canceling your account, your account will still be in the Social Catfish system but you will not be able to perform searches on it or be charged for our services. That way if you would like to renew your membership, you can do so easily. However, if you delete your account, you delete it off the Social Catfish platform and will have to sign up for Social Catfish again to get your membership back.

If you searched for an email and there was no record found, then this means it’s not associated with a name. This could mean that either the email address belongs to a scammer or a catfish, or that the person never associated their name with the email address.

If you are using a social search, this means that the information you entered is not associated with a name. If a name was entered, this means that the name is probably fake since there should be at least one public record associated with that name. If an image was uploaded, this means that the image the person is using is most likely real, or it could not be as known on the Internet.

You can report the scam account on the social media platform they are using, stating that they have stolen your photos. You can also request that your social media account can be verified with a blue checkmark, and also place watermarks on your photos to show who they belong to.

A Social Catfish image search only takes a few minutes to obtain the best results!

Social Catfish can not guarantee that you will find the name of the person that is in the image. However, if you click on some of the links where the photo was found, it could lead to the name of the person in the image. We ask that you proceed with caution though, since the websites are not a part of Social Catfish and could give your device malware.

Most of the time, this is the case. However, if they are refusing to video chat with you or meet you in person, it is still best to proceed with caution. They could’ve stolen a photo from someone that’s not as well known by other scammers.

A search token unlocks a match if there are results of the search you performed.

All you need to do is enter their name, email address, phone number, social media username, or image into the search bar to see who it is you’ve really been talking to.
