Trying to perform an OurTime search to look for someone? Our Time is a dating site for age 50+ adults. According to a 2010 census, out of around 78 million Baby Boomers (those born between 1946 and 1964), about 30 million of them are single.
While many dating sites are geared towards those in their 20’s, 30’s, and 40’s finding love, OurTime seeks to meet the needs of older adults. Although one might assume those who are 50+ want to get married again, surprisingly often they are looking for a date from a dating website, such as Match.com. If you’re confused about how to find someone on the site, follow this guide.

Both are found on the upper right side of your screen. “Filters” let you alter the following: Age, Near, Photos, Height, Looking For, Status, Ethnicity, Smoking, Build, Children, Religion, Zodiac sign. While “Sort” allows you further sort the order of results by distance, activity, new members, members online.
On The Our Time Website
You will have the opportunity to search the same features as the app, but ALSO who has viewed you, by username, through your search filters, keyword.
How to Review Results
Searching for someone you know: If you’re looking for a specific user, conduct a username search first. If you don’t recall their username, you can check old messages. If you know their age, location (taking in to account that people often minimize their age when over 50), ethnicity, or any other details that would be consistent, set your search filters to those.
Searching for someone new, who you don’t know: To conduct an open search of the members on OurTime, decide which filters are most important to you in each category. Then, set those options as your filters. When using the “Sort” feature, consider first looking for members close to you.
If you are running out of matches, sort for new people to meet by selecting “new members”. If you often contact users that you don’t hear from, sort by “activity” to find those who use the site most. Lastly, “members online” can help you begin talking to people right away.
Smart Search Options
If you don’t find who you’re looking for, go to Social Catfish. If you know the username a user commonly uses elsewhere on that sites, you can search multiple search engines. You can also use Social Catfish to search name, phone number, or any of the other searches offered. This can help you get in contact with whom you’re looking for, and discover their web trail across multiple platforms.
This is also helpful if you’ve connected with a user you like and want to verify they are a real person and not a catfish trying to scam you while finding online love! Unlike using Bing or Google, Social Catfish scans multiple search engines, dating sites, and social media accounts, with a detailed algorithm to filter out useless results.
