(972) 994-1664DangerousGot a text from this number stating they were with the Collin County Dem Party, stating that seniors, 65+, can do mail in voting and asked if i wanted to do this. Selling the safety aspect. Because early voting is so dangerous, right? They addressed me as "Steven" (wrong) and that i'm a senior (wrong again). Scam.
(972) 994-6267UnknownWell, shoot, I do not usually fall for these things, but I did have an old debt, so I negotiated a lower settlement and paid them I knew they were sent collectors pretending to be lawyers, had the original call from Iran and got the same song and dance. I only paid as I knew I did have an old outstanding debt. Almost sorry I did, but glad it is paid off.

(972) 994-6267NeutralScam! I received a message, called them back, asked what company this was calling me, Alexis Davis, would not tell me what company it was that was calling until I gave her my “case number”. I gave her the case number then asked what company is this. She said they buy debts, I asked her to spell the name of the company and she said no, she didn’t have time. What a joke, how is this legal? Then
(972) 994-6267UnknownYour wages can only be garnished if there is a judgment. A debt collector would have to file the intent to take you to court to file this judgement in the county clerks office in the county you live in and you would have to be served. If you have any doubts or worries as I did after that call, call any county clerks offices which you have lived and they will tell you over the phone if any judgemen

(972) 994-6267UnknownThank you BigA for the information. I will reach out to all the agencies that you suggested. It very frightening to think that this a common thing. I think this may prompt me to also reach out to my state assemblyman, if this happened to me I’m sure it’s happening to many and it’s absolutely not right!
(972) 994-6267NeutralReceived a call from a Diane Miller at work. First she spoke to my supervisor and to her that she was from an attorneys office and needed to speak to me about a wage garnishment. Then gave her number and a reference number and said to have me call her back on my outside of work. Of course I called her back from work immediately. She informed me that I owed over 8,000 in an old credit card from 201
(972) 994-6267UnknownWell known debt collection extortion scam. You are right, they cannot garnish wages without a court order and to get that they have to actually sue you. Debt collectors in Texas must be registered and have to put up a surety bond. Make sure you report them to the Texas AG as well. It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and (this is the importa
