Thanks everyone who posted. This number just now called, and unfortunately, a friend staying with us--not knowing our phone rules--picked up. Of course, there was nothing there, but it will be interesting to see how many more times it might now call, or how many more scam calls we now get, since we can now be registered as a "live one."Well, thank goodness for call blocking, at least for this numb

Called twice moments apart. Left no message. I've blocked them.--> NEVER answer or return such phone calls—that just validates that you and your phone number are "real". They are the occasional wrong number at best; scammers (most likely) at worst. If you are concerned about missing an important call, the caller will leave a message. I got a call from 845-259-2033. Phone rang 3 times and no answer. so I checked here and it appears that they are low life lily-livered scammers. I don't answer any calls that are unidentified ever. If everybody would screen their calls and just don't answer it would put an end to a lot of this tomfoolery.

Received two calls from this number and I don't answer calls from unknown numbers. There were no messages left so obviously it's not from a credible company or person...and also, the prior posts serve to confirm it's just another scammer. This number will be blocked.

New York State Bank still will not leave message. Told them he was not interested and to have a good day.

Claimed to be New York Bank wanted to talk to owner of company. Refused to say what call was about. Would not leave message. Won't be getting thru when they call back either.

The caller calls and does not leave a message. I just follow a policy to block the number who does not leave a message. The caller does not leave message because they want to be unanimous and I don't know them. When I don't know someone or their number I assume they have something to gain from me and I will be at loosing end. So, if they don't leave message I just block it.

The phone didn't even ring twice, so I didn't have a chance to answer. I guess if they actually needed to call us, they will call back.

Identified themselves as a New York USA Company. Almost impossible to understand the woman caller.Just another Telemarketer, with a thick Indian accent, wanting to know if we are interested in obtaining a business line of credit from them.Don't think so.

Called multiple times over several days no message. Ain't nobody got time for that! Blocked!

Company gives return call number of 914-307-9828, but this is the number that appears on caller id. Want to talk to the owner, will leave a message but not the reason for the call.

Called and no one answered when I picked up

"Thank you for calling "Vehicle Protection Direct." It's a telemarketer for one of those off-market car warranty "things." They're largely scams.
