Area Code 713 Information and Location Details

I received a call from an HPD detective on this number today as a follow up to a report I had filed about an attempted forced entry on my home. This is a legitimate HPD number, I’m assuming you can’t return calls to this number as it’s a generic line used for outgoing calls only, and is not a direct line to specific HPD staff to protect their contact details.

Do you often look up known phone numbers?

Why would you look up a known phone number? Have you never heard of phone number spoofing?

This a the generic Houston Police Department call out line, not spam. Any phone from HPD that calls out will have a generic number that comes back as disconnected if you try to call it, so the detectives info is not put out for people to have. You have to call them back on a number provided by them to get in contact with them.

Just have a call stating that HPD has recovered my stolen vehicle (I havent had any) and recievred by some towed by Wrold tech auto company and took it to some address also left a phone number, since I thought this was a call to teh wrong number, I tried to called back but the phone is disconnected.

Just received a voicemail stating they were Sgt Simurack with HPD working on a case and if I would please call hem back. What do they want to scam us out of? I mean WOW!

They act like a detective and don’t even say the real address of the downtown police station.

This number says they are Houston pd but when I call UT back it says it's been disconnected.

My truck was stolen s week ago.This number called and said that she was with hpd that they had found my stolen vehicle she knew all my vehicle info so i trusted it then she asked if it had been released to me I told her no How ever I called the theft division my self and my truck has not been found. I call that number back and it says its been disconnected.
