Area Code 541 Information and Location Details

Scam/Fraud - somebody calling for a person I do not know regarding a case file.

Received a phone call. No message left.

Picked up phone and there was silence on the other end.

Got an unsolicited text asking if this was me and that it was Adrienne and her investor wanting to buy my home

Received 2nd text message from same number. They changed their message from “I guess I caught you at a bad time”. To latest message says “ hi again, this is Adrienne, it sounds like I caught you in the middle of something.. WI am not opening the message.so I don’t know. What else it says. Also noticed message does not show up on iPad only on iPhone.

Called, left message asking “is this you Jaqueline?” I finally responded to the text, saying wrong number. They claim to be real estate wanting to buy. BIG SCAM! Blocked number. Very disgusting!

I received this text also. I had heard a rumor that what they want when they ask if it's you, is for you to respond with yes. Somehow the rumor goes, they can use your yes reply to confirm your account of some sort. Also, calls where they ask the same thing. Don't know how that would work, but clearly they want you to reply with "yes."

Just received text message from 541-275-9751. Also just says Hi Mary. Very weird.

The key word in that sentence is "rumor" because that's all this was - a rumor. And an unsubstantiated one at that since there is NO documented proof of ANYONE actually being harmed by simply saying the word "yes".

Text asking to buy property

Yep. Same thing today. Two texts asking if it was me, using my first name. Scam of some sort.

Got a text that said "Hi ..." (my husband's name) asked who it was & got another text stating "This is Adrienne. I realize this is completely out of the blue but I'm an assistant to a local investor interested in buying ... (our address) This can be a win-win situation. Are you interested in selling?"
