Our team at Social Catfish has been hard at work creating an exciting new look for you guys. We have updated our home page and how our users search throughout our website. We wanted to give users an easier-to-use platform and will be constantly improving the site within the next few months. We care about our members so much that we are offering these new features at no additional charge. Here are the new functions and features to try out on our new website, which can be viewed by creating an account on Social Catfish.
New Website Update Improves Online Safety
With our new update, you can keep track of anyone’s digital footprint easier! All you need to do is search up the name of the person you would like to track. Then, click on “See Complete Results” under the person who you are looking for.
Once you do this, click on “Tracking Off” to turn the tracking on. This will enable you to be notified once something changes about this person’s information. For example, if their address changes or they get a new phone number, then you will be notified of this change.
This will allow you to keep track of any information, just in case someone is committing identity fraud under this person’s name. Sometimes, it takes someone months to notice that a hacker committed identity theft using their information. However, with Social Catfish, if a phone number or address changes without that person’s consent, they can be notified immediately and take action quickly.
Easier to Read Reports
We made our reports easier to read so that you can gain access to your loved ones’ public information faster! We included a summary of what is included in each report so that it’s easier to navigate. For example, if you go to the Summary section and click on John Doe’s addresses, it will show you the history of the places he’s lived at.
We also organized your information so that it’s easier to find. While you do have the Summary section to help navigate you through the results, you can also scroll through the report and find what you are looking for at a quick rate.
New Website Update Improves Reverse Image Search
With this improved image search feature, you can now see exact matches of the image you are searching for easier. These exact matches will also include links so that you can see exactly where this photo came from. This will make it easier to catch a catfish or to verify the identity of someone who sent you a photo.
If an image is not an exact match, you can still compare it with the original image to see if it is still of the same person. In the above screenshot, I compared the original image to another photo of the same person. By comparing it, I was able to tell that the photos were of the same person which could lead me to verify this person’s identity faster.
You can also see the date the photo was taken and whether or not editing software was used on the image. For example, this photo of Jennifer Aniston was taken on February 25, 2012, and was edited using Adobe Photoshop on a Windows 10 computer. This makes it easier to see whether or not someone you are talking to is trying to catfish you. If they lie about when the photo was taken, now it’s easier to detect using our image search program. If a scammer photoshops someone into a photo, you will also be able to tell using our image search function.
Improved Username Search Function
With our new username search, we search through more websites to see if that username exists within that website. In the image above, you can see that the username searched was registered to 14 websites. Since we search through more websites, you will be able to see more activity within a singular username.
Our improved search platform will show you what kinds of websites that person is registered to and what websites they appear in. You can also verify the identity of the username easier to see if you are talking to a legit person.
Easier to View Search History
With a better-organized search history, you can view your results easier whenever you want to. This will allow you to view past results quickly so that they can perform more accurate research on the information they find.
You can also navigate between reports in a more organized manner with an easy-to-view list. With our thoughtfully designed list, you can dig deeper within search results to verify someone’s identity faster.
