Area Code 973 Information and Location Details

Caller ID was "US COURTS." No message left, so a likely insidious scam.

I answered and the caller disconnected.

Caller stating that someone is using my social security number fraudulently and to contact immediately for legal proceeding??

Threatened to freeze my bank accounts.said I was no ey Laundering

they been calling all day asking for money, to clear my file, number is actual DEA however is spoof. agent badge number given

Left voicemail, saying to press 1 to avoid legal proceedings. Called back. It was the NJ Drug Enforcement Agency. See post above that a DEA rep says someone is spoofing their number.

Same thing I got two calls today one said it was from Washington DC and said someone was using my Social Security number and then I got another one with a Newark number Saying the same thing and I just heard that these scammers are able to change their caller ID to look authentic so that’s why I didn’t take it seriously I just ignore them

Called me saying the same that my SS was been used for illegal activities. I pressed one to speak with a representative and he asked for my name and last name I asked him to give me his name and he started saying HELLO? HELLO? And hung up lol. I glad I didn’t fall for it!

Just got 20 calls my mom is freaking out cause the phones are under my name but I told her not to pick up and let it go if they really wanted me they can always send me a letter lol

So far, I have been called 3 times today from this number. I looked it up and found out the number belongs to Drug Enforcement Administration, like all of you. I wanted to share my post to show that this scam is still ongoing, so if you don't recognize the number, I would suggest you let it go to voicemail.

just got a random call from this lmao im pretty sure its scam didnt leave a voicemail and i dont live in NJ

Called me from 2 different numbers spoof DEA no voicemail for me but hubby got a half voicemail at work.

Called me claiming that my social security number has been compromised in Texas. Call the number back and the recording states it was the NJ DEA.
