Purports to be some police association. Record’s show a pitiful 5% of what is collected goes to the police. 95% goes into the scammer’s pocket. I’d suggest donating to you local 100 club. 100% goes to first responders.

I answered this call today without saying the word hello. I said "What do you want," then "What do you need." There was no response before it clicked off. I noticed the area code serves Huntsville, TX, which is the home of one of our prisons.

Called asking for Julia...no Julia at this number...so then he says maybe I can help him. Starts a script about how he's with a law enforcement association...wants money...at which point I hung and blocked the number.

One of those phony calls pretending to be collecting on behalf of the police, adding scare tactics about defunding yada-yada. If you look up the names of these, pay close attention to how much actually goes to the police associations they are claiming they're working on behalf of.
