The call shows up not assigned #, will not leave a message. I will not answer, if number does not show,orthey do not leave a message why they are calling me.

Asked me to accept charges for a collect call from nearby detention center, for a mumbled name I didn’t recognize. I don’t know a person in jail. Do not press any buttons or call back! Only hang up and report call.

My caller id said SSI. After hearing on the news about the Social Security scams, I wonder if this caller was pretending to be the SSA and too dumb of know the correct abbreviation. After reading all the above, it sounds like they use the same # for all diff scams.

No, it was Survey Sampling International, thus the SSI on caller ID. They do opinion polls and market research type surveys and thus not covered by the DNC laws.

They call everyday over and over and never speak and it will not allow you to call back.

Called, I ignored it, answering machine picked up, they hung up.
