I’m glad I looked it up after seeing all these comments on this phone number. I had to set up an account with TIAA Bank. Now they want me to add an external account.

This guy offered me a job on Freelancer, which I accepted and was immediately charged a fee of $61.68 for international transactions. I questioned him about this (he was going by "slaterjarald) and he said he was in San Diego, but the charge was obviously connected to the Freelancer job. Turns out he's in Nigeria. Avoid at all costs!

This person is chatting with me right now for a job offer. I searched for the number and found this. People have to be careful nowadays. I was immediately alerted when this person told me how beautiful life is - and how she appreciates life -- at the start of our conversation! And how blessed she is... ugh! I knew it from the start!

I was just contacted about this position too. The way they offered the job was sketchy and when they gave me their phone number (without their name mind you), I googled it out of suspicion and was confirmed by this thread.

It is called money laundering. This is money stolen from other people, they get you to cash the checks and send them money and take a fee out for yourself. Eventually, you would have been tracked down, arrested and charged criminally for mail fraud, possibly wire fraud and a few other things as well.

This person is a FAKE he contracted me for an art job and sent me 2 bogus checks in the amount of $6400 a joke a fraud. Don't answer and for sure don't do business!!

I'm so glad that I found this thread! This person offered me a bid on Freelancer as well! When they asked about receiving checks and putting it into my personal account, the already red flag started going crazy!
