Spoofer? As I do not know anyone in Olivia, NC. Called my government work # that is not publicly known. No response when I answered the call.

Got 3 calls on our landline and 2 cells from this number within 1 hr. Got concerned and picked up. It was a very polite woman calling about a local election in a couple of days. The guy is running for sure. Maybe this used to be a scammer's #, and now the campaign owns it?

You seriously believe that? What convinced you? The "polite woman" part? Well any con knows that you get more with honey than vinegar.

My husband talked to the "polite woman", he was ready to blast her, but she was for real. She touted all the political stuff the guy running for office had sent us in the mail. She wasn't trying to get our money, just wanted us to vote for the guy. I'm the last one to fall for scammers and the first one to do research before blasting someone here. She was polite and "touted all the political stuff" so you decided she was "for real"? All that proves is she can read from a script and, as BigA said, knows you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. It certainly doesn't mean her candidate is worth voting for.

Interesting that one came back after an hour to reply. Must have been expecting someone questioning the post and now wants to do more damage control. I'm going to go with the first post in this thread and say that I am sure this is a scam call.

This was an UNSOLICITED call. This robo call left a messgae about a new cable tv netowrk. Complete fakery. Do not fall for it.
