Area Code 917 Information and Location Details

I just got a call from this number to my cell phone.

Won the lottery with $30.000!! Similar to Jamaica scams of an earlier time

Received a call. No one was on the line after my answer.

Rude man called looking for "owner" of business. Wouldn't leave contact information.

I apparently got a call from "+19178094965" <9178094965> yesterday to my business line (519 area code). They called twice - about 10 seconds between calls. I wasn't blocking them - but for some reason their calls show as being zero length. I am already blocking two prefixes in the 917 area code, so now I'm just going to block the entire area code. Serenity now.

Robo ringer had several today this must be affiliated network of robots, just disconnected

Telemarketer claiming to represent some financial organization. Asks for a specific individual by name.

heavily accented guy claims to be from Synergy (Cynergy?) financial and is asking for someone by first name only.

Dental office that constantly calls under multiple numbers to promote their free dental cleanings. Refuse to take no for an answer. Any number that they call you from suspiciously is not connected to any dental office in Manhattan, where they claim to be located. Extremely annoying, stop calling!
