Scam telling you your social security number has been corrupted

Some foreigner telling me that my social security number had been compromised. When I refused to give him my last 4 digits he told me he is not my friend or family so don't get smart with him as he was a federal agent. I informed him I would go to my local social security office and see if there was indeed a problem and hung up on him.

I got this exact call today from this same number. I reported it to Directv fraud dept

Same; call but no message

I answered and the caller said he was from DirecTV. He said that they were performing an upgrade and if I had old service they would need to update me. He was rude (my first clue), very bad accent (my second clue) and then he asked me to go to my TV turn it on and press the info button. I did. He then asked me to read the numbers, I told him "No, he should have that information" he started to

Caller was robo call. When he connected he said he was from AT&T and that I reported a problem. I told him I did not have AT&T and that I knew he was a scammer and would report him to the FCC if he called again.

Caller asked for me by name. Caller said he was calling from Direct TV and to Direct TV subscribers. Caller said his records indicated that I subscribed to Direct TV, and asked if that was correct. (Probably wanting me to speak the word "Yes" for future scammery.) I told caller his records were incorrect and he then hurried to end the call.

This # called and said they were calling from Microsoft. I asked them who they were looking for and they said "Stephanie Hunt". That's funny because a different New York number called me stating they were Direct TV and said they were calling for "Stephanie Hunt". They both only gave me a name after I refused to let them go thru their schpiel.

Call on cell from 917-426-9936 on 8/01/19. Caller ID said "No Name" and no message left. Online search says caller supposedly is from New York City. Reporting to Do Not Call complaints website.

all I wanted to know was there rate and term. Then they hung up. Obviously a scam. Why are these guys not arrested?
