Just got a call which caller ID said was SSI. Got call at 6:58 PM. Know for a fact that Social Security sends letters and not phone calls. Also, because of the virus Social Security tells you offices are closed and do your business online. Got to be a scam..

You should also "know for a fact" that this isn't the Social Security Administration. SSI stands for Survey Sampler International.

My question is to find out from WHO and / or what business , if so , that is attached t this phone number . The communication from this number has only been via text thus far . Entity offering assistant payroll position through hi personal subcontracting business .

No point in trying to figure who or what business it is. It is a scammer, most likely overseas which is why they only communicate via text. Those texts should be forwarded to 7726 so that carriers will block them. Now, if they sent you a check and you deposited it and then sent them money for "supplies" then you are out that money and the bank fees. Any real business would have an account set

BigA has given you lots of useful information but I will add 1 thing: you questioned if this guy works for a payroll company. A legitimate caller with a legitimate job offer would have identified himself fully. "Hi, this is Joe Blow with Such and Such Company", not "Hi, this is Joe Blow, I want to to do my payroll, buy these supplies."

Is this number a scam ? Does this person work for a payroll company ? I was offered a job being Justin Keans' assistant in doing his payroll , well , a portion of it , and gave me three supplies to get . Glue stick , paper to print off payroll checks , regular printing paper, and another type of paper

Numbers aren't scams. Numbers are just numbers. Calls from numbers can be scams. This one is.

Suzzie Page is at it again!! So many errors in her post, either scam or foreigner or both.

Omg I felt for her scam as well. This person send me a check of almost 5,000 dollars. I received the check this past Tuesday. This person still appears on the sittercity website

It is still happening! She has a post up on SitterCity as of yesterday and I responded with a bunch of questions. She emailed me back, of course same scam info as everyone else. Glad I didn't fall for it! Sad that this on a reputable sight!

I have been texting and emailing with her nonstop since yesterday! Wow.........this is crazy!
