Scamming sons of beez, disconnected number is no longer in service.Don't become a victim. Don't answer, hang up, contact law enforcement and your local politicians to do something.

I keep getting calls from this number.

They are a law firm, of David Katz theyre debt collectors who work for agencies that people havent paid or whom have bounced checks. Theyre real.

They said they are from a law firm.

Then they should have no problem telling you what state(s) they are registered in and the BAR numbers of the attorneys registered. Be advised that telling someone you are an attorney even though you are not is a crime.

Thanks. They never said where, they said my file was placed in there office gave me a case number, they are calling from a New York number and I am in Texas. I looked up the number and it is registered to a individual.

They called me with false information about a debt that I owed to them. That the debtor has not sold the debt off. I believe this is a scam.

Tell them to mail you proof of the debt along with proof they're legally entitled to collect said debt.
