Not every call from a collection agency is legitimate. In fact, most aren't as most debt collectors disregard certain debt collection laws to speed up their business. Disregard for certain laws is actually and consciously built into the business models of many debt collectors.

They have called b4 & asked for my mother who died in Feb. this yr..Same pattern as others, could not discuss business unless I verified that I was the executor of the estate. Not that but will be sending them a "cease and desist" letter by return receit request. Any contact after that makes it illegal for them to contact us by any means. They can be sued if they do. They keep calling so I put their # in the search bar and found this site. I just called it back and they are a collection agency calling for someone else and would not belive it wasn't me so I hung up. They are calling me back right now.

Received a call this morning, said it was about important business. When I looked up info on the internet regarding this number, several responses said it was Green Mountain Energy and a collection agency. I've actually heard of this company. I've been making payments to them for an account. They keep calling (bugging me) to get my checking account information to take the money out each month to pay the debt. Almost sounds criminal to me. I refuse to give it to them and will continue sending money orders until the debt is paid off.

This collection agency “CSII” keeps calling looking for someone with a similar name.I’m going to consult an attorney as to what legal action I can take against these calls considering I’m NOT the person their looking for!

Credit Systems International - they buy old Medical accounts receivable and then try to collect. They called me today about a bill from June 2008 on my mother - she has been in an institution since 3/07. Legitimate, but very uninformed and pushy.

This call is legitimate. Mine was from an ultrasound that I had for my pregnancy. The actual info that I received is that it is Credit System International in Arlington, TX. I did get a call back number of (800) 316-8064.

These people called for a relative who put down my number. They refused to identify themselves or the purpose of the call.
