Area Code 717 Information and Location Details

I got my first call from this number on a Saturday night, and when I answered no one was there. This is a typical sign of a telemarketer call, as the call center computer dials numbers on a regular basis, then it may take some seconds for one of the staff to pick up.When no one answered I hung up, and just as I was doing so I heard a male voice say, "Hello, Mr..." Repeated calls, leave no messages caller ID says it is SSI, Sure it is, NOT!

SSI stands for Survey Sampler International & you can even visit their website to opt out of future calls.

Didn't answer,caller ID came up SSI.

I don't do surveys. Didn't answer. They called earlier with a different number: 717-722-0511 which had also called about a year ago. I know that only because I left a comment on 800 Notes and found it there when I looked it up this morning. Survey or charity - I don't do either by phone.

Asked if I was a registered voter, said it was a survey. Not an English speaker, so I had fun with him.

Comes up "Akron, PA". Supposedly "PA Fraternal Order of Police" soliciting for donations. I hung up. At least he was an american with English as his first language.

called me yesterday, left no message. There have been many scam calls coming from the Lancaster area. I expect nothing better from this call.
