why are they calling me i dont use their service guess its a scam

Got a call from somewhat spoke Spanish. Asked for me by my last name. Asked what he wanted and he said he was calling from my electrical power provider. Asked him what company is that and he said Centerpoint Energy. I called him a liar and a thief (as I do not have that service provider). I hung up on him and have blocked the number.

Same thing happened to me. They speak with an accent and insisted I pay or I will be disconnected in the next 45 minutes. Center Point Energy said they would never make a call like that.

Same number (713-207-2222) called me a couple days in a row claiming there was an outage in my area. A robotic woman left a message using my EXACT address. The strange part was, I was home at the time, no power issues. 5 min later I see an incoming FaceTime from the same number. Recorded message saying our electricity would be cut off in 30 minutes for unpaid balance. We have to call 888-724-1162. This line was busy. I called the number on caller id-713-207-7777 left a message indicating we know they are scammers and the scum of the earth, turning them in to the FCC and have a happy life in jail. I am so fed up with the scammers.

Call came in to our business from this phone number (713-207-7777). It was a recording with a gruff-sounding man's voice saying he is with Reliant and our electricity will be turned off in 30 minutes because of unpaid balance. Told me to call 800-303-5116 to make the payment. We don't use Reliant for electric service. So tempted to call the 800 number and jack with them, but I don't have time.

This is a scam. They called me twice. I picked up the second call and a man on the other end was telling me that my Reliant energy was being cut-off in 30 minutes. He told me that they were connected with my energy provider. I hung up with him and called my provider who told me that it was a scam and that my account was in good standing. The rep told me to block the call.

Called my cell. I didn't answer. No message left.

They are spoofing centerpoints num....making thr spam call more credible....never give away personal info...if in doubt call them yourself witg the 800 number on your bill
