Area Code 631 Information and Location Details

I didn't answer. No message.

Called my cell.

I keep getting calls from this number, no answer and no message.

No one there when I answered.

I had the exact experience as everyone else just today. I figured they were SCAMMERS they were just a little to pushy that the transaction happened as they wanted involving a cashier check blah blah blah...these morons have got to be stopped!!!! Please someone stop them they are still very active and trying to scam!!

Same experience! Jason from Madison Ct wants to send cashiers check to purchase car, etc. no “ normal “ people answering these ads! Very disturbing.

Same thing happened to me. I placed an ad online to sell a car. I received a text message at 2:30 a.m. from a guy named "Jason Cochran" claiming to want my car for the advertised price, and further claiming to send a cashiers check immediately. Received this message at 3:47AM EST. "Hi. I'm interested in the Used 2005 Chrysler Crossfire. My name is Jason Cochran from Plainfield Indiana. Can you accept a bank cashiers certified check of $9,000 for payment ?. Because am out of town now for a business. And after the check clears. I'll send my transport company for pick up at your location after the title transfer."

Dang! I just got the message from him too. I gave him my name and address, and is sending the cashier's check. What do you guys recommend to do?

Same as everyone above listed on cars.com paying $3500 over asking price for transportation service ( skeptical) took it to bank and they placed a 5 day hold before cashing. Just found it it is a fraud we only lost $10 ( because of the bad check ) still mad about the $10 but a lot luckier than some who lost a lot more. I wonder if cars.com would be interested in all of this?

Now he is Jason Cochran from Moreno Valley California. Bad luck he sent this one to a retired cop.

Received text from Todd from Boca Raton with specific reference to the car I was selling. It mentioned cashier's check for full amount and transport company. No questions asked. Too good to be true = SCAM!

Fraud - Claims to be in Conn and wants to send a counterfeit cashiers check for a car which would leave me holding the bag for an NSF charge at the bank.

Yep same caller claims he's on business in NY and is from Salisbury MD. Same no and wants balance of cashiers check sent to transport company after check clears. Scam scam scam!
