i got a call from the same number. It was my case worker from the alameda county medical/ food stamps office.

Phone ID said City of Alameda. I answered and a man with a Mexican Accent told me he was looking for work and wanted to know if I had any available. I said no. He then asked if I had the number to another company that may be looking for work. I told him I didn't know of anyone hiring. Note, I live in the county next to Alameda. message from social services. it was a valid number for me. i applied for medi-cal for a family member.

This is for sure not a Children and Family Services phone number because no one at our agency is assigned this number.

It's an all purpose number from Alameda County. I get calls from this number all the time and it is always the planning/building dept. people as that's whom I most often do business with. What's up with you people? Answer the friggin' phone.

I would be willing to be it is the Jury Commissioner's office, trying to follow up on a missed or re-scheduled jury duty.
