Anybody else getting calls from 386-478-4176?

Keeps calling my number.

This is Palmer May and associates trying to collect on debt past the statue. They get these receivables for free, since the law is 4 years..it is the payday loan places. .there collection practices are against the FTC.I asked them to send me proof if the debt they claimed I owed 17 years ago

If this is a debt over 4 years ago, then you are ok

Kim, it is none of my business why they are calling, but keep in mind, they cannot collect on any debts past 4 years. The tactics they use are illegal. If it is a payday loan, they are suppose to send you paperwork in certified mail..The judge will laugh the case out of court. If past 4 years

As previous posts indicate,this is a scam on these debt collectors buying old receivables, past the statue. They call from blocked numbers, then tell you to call the 386-478-4129, which happens to be busy all the time. There methods are illegal in all states.

My husband received a call from this company in reference to me. The caller advised him they had a warrant, they would send someone to my place of employment or my home. I immediately called them back mainly due to the warrant threat. I’m retired law enforcement of 16 years so I was totally confused! A Ms. Brookes told me I needed to settle it and she would try to it for hold it off for 24 hrs but

I spoke with someone at their office and hung up on him. I ended up getting "served" with a subpoena yesterday. Now i gotta go to court smh.

I got a phone call yesterday saying I’m being sued Her name Ashley just wondering what happened after. Did you get served or it was indeed a SCAM?

It's a scam. You are not "being sued" until you actually have a summons in your hand. And no one calls in advance to tell you about that.

I bet that they are suing you because you refuse to get your caps lock key fixed. Since you were served you can now tell us the name and address of the Plaintiff (that would be the company suing you) and their attorney's name, address and BAR number. You won't, you will make all sorts of excuses because you were never "served" unless you meant by the Pizza Delivery Guy.
