The reason for this is the ever-increasing competition on the site \u2014 everyone wants their videos seen, and they use various tricks to make sure that happens. There are many things you can try to find someone on YouTube, but it’s important that you know at least something about the person you’re looking for.<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0\u00a0 Search by Name or Username<\/h3>\n

If you know the name or username of the person you’re looking for, all you have to do is enter that into the search bar on YouTube. You can do this in the app and the browser by clicking on the magnifying glass icon on the top right corner of the screen and typing in the name or username in the search bar.<\/a><\/p>\n

Chances are that your searched channel would be somewhere in the search results, though you might have to go through them closely if they’re not well-known.<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0\u00a0 Search by Email Address<\/h3>\n

You have high chances of coming across the person you’re looking for on YouTube if you search by their email address.<\/a> If you don’t have that, chances are it would be easy to find through any of their social media.<\/p>\n

Many people nowadays use the same email address for all their social media pages, especially when you’re talking about people who want to be found. If you know what topics the person you’re looking for is interested in, or what kind of videos they post, you can look for their videos by using the keywords for those videos.<\/p>\n

For example, if they’re into arts and crafts, or painting, you can look up words like “acrylic paintings” or “arts and crafts”.<\/p>\n

You’ll have an even easier time with the search<\/a> if you combine the keywords with their possible channel name or their own name.<\/p>\n

4.\u00a0\u00a0 Search by Channels<\/h3>\n

You don’t necessarily have to comb through countless YouTube videos until you find the right one. To avoid this, change the search result settings<\/a> on YouTube. After you’ve performed a search with your desired keywords, click the three-dot icon on the right side of the screen to filter the results.<\/p>\n

This way, you can narrow the results down by when they were uploaded or their relevance, and choose whether you want to see only channels or playlists in the results \u2014 and there are much more filters than this.<\/p>\n

5.\u00a0\u00a0 Search with Google<\/h3>\n

YouTube video results often show up on google<\/a>, and you might hit a stroke of luck when you look the person up on Google. Google has started showing more and more YouTube videos in its search results recently, which works great!<\/p>\n
