My resolution for 2021 is to get social media, specifically Facebook and Instagram, to be more accountable for fake profiles on their sites, and to be more proactive in removing these criminals. This is one resolution that will not be discarded in a few weeks after making it.

Job Title: Blog Writer and Content Strategist
My New Years’ resolution for 2021 is to write engaging yet educational content for our audience so that they can better recognize the signs of scammers. I want to be able to write articles that explain how to verify if someone is real and to make sure that my writing puts an end to romance scams once and for all. I also want to communicate more with the Facebook SCF Seekers Group to see if there are any more articles I can write to make sure no one is fooled by scams again.

Striving to find new out-of-the-box methods to improve scammer detection and help our clients to find out if the person they are talking with is who they say they are. Technology is always changing, which can make it hard for a lot of our clients. It’s important to me to use all the methods available to beat the bad guys and help out those who are in need.

Because scammers are always trying to find ways to victimize people, my ongoing resolution is to always stay ahead so we can inform and empower people with the information they need to protect themselves and their loved ones. In fact, we are continuing to work on several big improvements to socialcatfish.com to help users stay aware and keep safe when it comes to scammers. In 2021, I’m committed to working on new features that users will love and that they will find useful every day.
