Along with this, we also used multiple resources such as ZipRecruiter and a guide called Low Vision and Blindness Among Adults in Los Angeles County from Braille Institute to gather this information.

If you’re interested in becoming an eye doctor, you must train to become an optometrist. This requires 4 years of work for a postgraduate degree in order to obtain a doctorate in optometry. 

In order to become an ophthalmologist, it’s required that you complete medical school. There are at least 8 years of med school training before a person can become eligible to acquire an ophthalmology license.
